Reception Pancake Day and Bread making

Reception Pancake Day and Bread making

Jenny2019-03-13T11:30:03+00:00

For Pancake Day we read the story of The Runaway Pancake.
We looked at the instructions of how to make pancakes. They wrote a list of ingredients and sequenced the pictures into the order to make a pancake.
First we put in the flour, milk and eggs.
We then mixed all the ingredients together to make a runny batter.
Then heated some oil up in a pan to cook the batter, making pancakes.
We then ate the pancakes.
My dermatological department has a policy on Accutane, so we don’t prescribe it a lot, only in severe cases of nodular acne when nothing else can remedy the problem. In my practice, I have not seen a single patient whom it didn’t help get rid of their skin problems entirely.
The children then told their parents how to make pancakes and some made them at home and put it on Tapestry and told the class about it for Show and Tell.

The Reception children had Stephen the Asda Community Champion into school to teach them how to make bread.
After the children wrote a list of ingredients and equipment that they needed and sequenced pictures of how they made the bread. They also wrote instructions of what to do and told their parents at home. Some children helped make bread at home and put it on Tapestry to show their friends in Show and Tell.
