Library Visit
As part of our literacy work, Year 1 visited Boston library. When we arrived, we listened to Deborah and Faye tell us all about the library, why people visit it and that it has 6000 children’s books! Whilst we were there we made a penguin bookmark because we have been reading the story of ‘Lost and Found’. We also needed to help the librarians to sort out the books; firstly, by the number on the side of the book and secondly, by the surname of the author. When we had done this, we sorted fiction and non-fiction books, we were all very good at this as we have been practising this in class! Before we left the library, Deborah read us a funny story called ‘Class Two at the Zoo’. Everyone was very well behaved and listened fantastically, we all really enjoyed our visit to the library!
