Easter in Reception
When it was Easter the Reception children took part in lots of Easter crafts. They made Easter chocolate nests and learnt the Easter story about Jesus and looked at the traditions of celebrating Easter.
The Easter bunny visited and left us a letter. The letter told us that she had left us some clues to follow to find some Easter eggs.
The children have been working very hard on their phonics so they could read the clues which led us to find eggs which led us to more clues. The Easter egg hunt clues took us all around the school and into the office where we were told to take some baskets and go into our outdoor area and work with a friend to find as many eggs as we could.
The children were very excited and did very well at finding all the eggs. We then went inside and counted the eggs and wrote the amount on the whiteboard. We found out who had found the most and then shared the eggs fairly to eat.
