World Book Day 2022

We celebrated World Book Day in school by dressing up as our favourite book character or a word. This year was the 25th anniversary for World Book Day so we did lots of exciting activities in school, as well as joined in with the online events set up by the World Book Day organisation. The children loved dressing up as their favourite characters and brought in their books to share with the rest of the class. We also used the library and invited parents in to read with their child. It was amazing to see so many children and families enjoying our books!

For Red Nose Day this year, Carlton Road Academy took part in a colour splash! All the children picked a colour and came into school wearing as much of that colour as possible. We also took part in a colour dash where we moved around the track in fun ways and finally used our different colours to make a rainbow. We all had an amazing day and made a difference with our donations!
