Aladdin
On Thursday 23rd May, a group of year 5 and 6 children went to see the musical, Aladdin, in the West End in London.
We left school at 9 and arrived at the Prince Edward Theatre, just in time to see the show.
The story of Aladdin is set in a time gone by. Aladdin is a poor street urchin who lives in a busy town in Arabia. Meanwhile Princess Jasmine gets tired of being forced to remain in the palace that overlooks the city and so she sneaks out and into the town and accidentally meets Aladdin. Immediately Aladdin falls in love with Princess Jasmine, but knows that he cannot marry her as he is not a prince. So, when he releases a genie from the lamp, one of his wishes is that he wants to become a prince. His wish is granted and eventually they marry and everyone lives happily ever after!
The show was incredible and featured all of the unforgettable songs from the much-loved Disney film.
The children loved it and their behaviour was impeccable. A truly great day!
