This term the dental nurse came in to see us in reception. She told us all about looking after our teeth, why it is important and how we can do it.
She told us that we should bush our teeth twice a day, once in the morning and once before bed, she explained that we only need a pea sized amount of toothpaste and how we should brush our upstairs and our downstairs teeth.
The children listened very carefully, they answered questions about how to care for our teeth and what foods are good and bad for them. The next day we all brushed our teeth after dinner. They learnt which their toothbrush was and were very good at brushing their teeth. We are brushing our teeth every day. The dental nurse is going to be coming back to see us this term to check how we are progressing and to talk to us about cutting down on some drinks and foods such as being ‘fizz free’ and cutting down on sweets and sugary snacks.
If your child isn’t registered at a dentist please remember to do this and go for regular check-ups.
